As part of its commitment to advancing sustainable living, MODENA continues to translate its global sustainability ambitions into locally relevant initiatives that create tangible benefits for communities. During Ramadan, the company is expanding MODENA Pure Hub, providing greater access to clean drinking water while encouraging more responsible consumption and reducing reliance on single-use plastic bottles.
The latest expansion includes four free drinking water points at Masjid Agung Al Azhar, Kebayoran Baru, serving a community of up to approximately 1,500 worshippers per day. The initiative complements existing MODENA Pure Hub locations at Masjid Raya Al Azhar Jababeka in Cikarang, Bekasi, and Masjid Al-Bakrie in Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Powered by MODENA Reverse Osmosis Water Purifiers, the water stations provide access to hygienic and safe drinking water for worshippers, particularly during iftar and after prayers. Beyond providing a practical community benefit, the initiative reflects MODENA’s broader approach to sustainability: embedding environmental and social impact into everyday experiences and making sustainable choices more accessible at the community level.
From Ramadan Values to More Responsible Consumption
For MODENA, Ramadan also provides an opportunity to connect cultural values with broader principles of sustainable consumption. The month encourages reflection, moderation, and greater awareness of the distinction between needs and wants—principles that increasingly resonate with the global shift toward more conscious and responsible consumption.
This perspective extends beyond individual purchasing decisions. As households navigate increasingly diverse needs and access to new technologies, the way products are accessed and consumed can also become part of the sustainability conversation.
Making Access More Flexible Through Subscription
This principle is also reflected in MODENA’s Seamless Go Subscription Service, which offers consumers an alternative way to access household appliances without the conventional burden of ownership.
Through a fixed monthly subscription, consumers can use selected MODENA products while receiving maintenance and servicing as part of the subscription package. Unlike conventional installment-based financing, the model is structured around access and use rather than ownership.
The approach reflects a broader evolution in consumer behavior toward access-based and circular consumption models, where products and services are designed to deliver value throughout their useful life while reducing unnecessary barriers to access.
By introducing this model alongside initiatives such as MODENA Pure Hub, MODENA is exploring how business innovation can contribute to more responsible consumption while continuing to meet evolving consumer needs.
Connecting Global Ambition with Local Impact
Together, these initiatives reflect MODENA’s approach to sustainability: combining global sustainability priorities with solutions grounded in local communities and everyday consumer realities.
From expanding access to clean drinking water and reducing single-use plastic to encouraging alternative models of product consumption, MODENA continues to seek opportunities where business innovation, environmental responsibility, and social impact can reinforce one another.
Through this approach, Ramadan becomes more than a seasonal campaign—it serves as a meaningful platform to advance conversations around well-being, responsible consumption, resource efficiency, and sustainable living, while creating tangible impact within the communities MODENA serves.
